Anwick Forge produced this totem pole in collaboration with the staff and pupils at St Nicholas' C of E Primary School.  An art workshop at the school provided the source materials for the motifs on the themes of faith, family, community and learning which were then re-interpreted in metal.  We then held a forging workshop at the school with two mobiles forges and two blacksmiths.  During the course of the day every single one of the 100 pupils took part and helped forge a ladybirds, snails and grasses.
